SaskTel Forms Alliance with 2Wire to Deliver Home Networking Vision

Canadian telco to distribute 2Wire residential gateways to subscribers of bundled voice, entertainment and DSL data services

San Jose, California - April 19, 2005 - SaskTel has teamed up with 2Wire, Inc., a provider of broadband service delivery platforms, to deliver home networking to its high-speed Internet and MAX subscribers. As part of the alliance, 2Wire will be the exclusive supplier of home networking solutions for SaskTel’s new HomeNet service, launched March 31, 2005.

2Wire poll reveals 79 percent of DSL subscribers would cancel their cable subscriptions if offered voice, data and entertainment services from their telco

San Jose, California - November 1, 2004 - Over three-fourths (79 percent) of those with both cable TV and DSL would cancel their cable subscription if they could receive telephone, Internet and TV services from their telco, a new poll has revealed. More than half (55 percent) of the respondents would also choose their telco over the cable operator as the single provider of these services.

2Wire, a provider of broadband service platforms, polled 2,000 DSL subscribers to identify the major factors driving consumer demand for converged services.
