MSO's Moving Slowly on CableCARD's

The nation's 10 largest cable operators are still not installing many removable security modules in customers' homes, even though the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) 's July 1 ban on new digital set-tops with integrated security features is just three months away.

Plus, the big MSO's say they're still running into numerous installation problems with these security modules, which are known as CableCARD's. At least two major MSO's claim that they're fielding 1,000 or more "trouble calls" a month concerning the modules...

This year, Cox received the highest honors in J.D. Power and Associates' 2006 Residential All-Distance Telephony Customer Satisfaction Survey in the Northeast, Southwest and Western regions. It was the fourth straight year Cox topped the Western region polling, where it directly duels AT&T formerly SBC and Verizon, and the first year it has been included in the other two regions, where its telephone service is newer.

Speed upgrade in Kansas!

Just got an eMail from Cox in regards to a free speed upgrade. Preferred goes from 4Mbps to 6Mbps, & Premier goes from 9Mbps to 10Mbps.

Rebooted the modem and here's what I got on my Preferred service;
