The nation's 10 largest cable operators are still not installing many removable security modules in customers' homes, even though the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) 's July 1 ban on new digital set-tops with integrated security features is just three months away.

Plus, the big MSO's say they're still running into numerous installation problems with these security modules, which are known as CableCARD's. At least two major MSO's claim that they're fielding 1,000 or more "trouble calls" a month concerning the modules...

Just got an eMail from Cox in regards to a free speed upgrade. Preferred goes from 4Mbps to 6Mbps, & Premier goes from 9Mbps to 10Mbps.

Rebooted the modem and here's what I got on my Preferred service;
