I have not had earth link in so long I can't remember when I had it!

@mindspring.com | earthlink dsl speed I can only say this on Earthlink dsl home networking set, once we changed router/modem to Netgear all in one product, the issues mostly stopped. 95% of our problems stopped getting rid of linksys router and earthlink's modem they supply. Hope this helps. | |

I've been a satisfied EarthLink customer since the mid-1990s, starting out with dial-up service, briefly being a Verizon DSL customer and eventually migrating to EarthLink DSL. I've only experienced two DSL outages in the last five years -- first, when Verizon's Westell modem/router failed and I eventually figured it out, pressing the EarthLink Zyxel modem into service a couple of days later; second when saboteurs cut the fiber optic trunk lines in south San Jose, California and everyone's telephone, Internet and cell phone service, including E-911 service, was out for about 8 hours. Neither of these outages were EarthLink's fault.
