    Has anyone been told that SBBD is discontinuing their service as of July 31, 2008. I spoke to a tech on their 888-996-0001, pressed #4 and the guy said they are turning off cities one by one. Has anyone heard of this?

    It's definately going on

    I was beginning to think I was the only SBBD customer left alive. No it's true, they are cancelling service city by city. I got my notice today, service shutoff by 7/31/08

    Anyone know what frequencies these are running on? Is the FCC Mandate really forcing them, or are they just using this as a way to justify consolidate business infrastructure behind their EV-DO offerings?

    I got the notice as well. I guess it's time to find a new ISP.

    Had a question though. Are we stuck with the dish being mounted on the house? Or will they remove it and take it back?

    you own your equipment. just remove it from the roof. that is what i did.
