    I have been a LOYAL customer of Global Crossing for over 12 years. I work for a local telco company and we resell Global Crossing as our long distance service. I spend over $4000 per month every month with this company. I have a customer that is moving their toll free telephone number away. We have submitted the request to move their number away about 10 times now and every time it is rejected. The customer keeps telling me that it is rejected due to unsatisfactory payments (meaning money is due on the account). I have contacted my global rep every time and they check the account, everything seems fine and tell me that it is getting rejected for address mismatch so I have passed this information back to my customer. My customer (without my knowledge) called Global Crossing directly and Global told them that they can't transfer it away because my company has a $4000 balance and it needs to be taken care of before the transfer can happen. My customer is obviously furious. Global's response is oh yes, you have to have a $0 balance in order to transfer any toll free numbers. A $0 balance? When we do $4000 per month with a company- that's outrageous! They continue to hold this toll free number hostage.
