Speedfactory just gets better and better. I now have their static IP residential service at 3 mbps. I used to have a non-PPPoE connection with them which basically never went down. That was important to me because for the 6 months I was on BSFA, my connection went down daily and tech support blamed it on my routers. When I switched to a non-PPPoE ISP (Directvdsl) my problems went away. When DTV closed their doors, I switched to Speedfactory because they offered a similar PPPoE-free service. They also allow you to run personal servers. I'm running a mail server for one of my personal domains using sendmail off a linux machine. It's not open to outside relay and has been a fun passtime.
Update: Because of connection issues, I switched to Comcast after about 21 mo. of Speedfactory. Because they automatically renew your one-year contract for you unless you ask them not to when the time comes up, I had to pay them for three months to get out of the contract. Now, it seems like they were bought out or maybe closed down. Dunno, but I've been happy with Comcast.
