    I've had Speed Factory static IP for years. It is extremely rare to have an outage, and usually it turns out to be something that AT&T did to cause it whenever it has occurred.

    The latest cash flow debacle outage was truly out of character as far as I'm concerned. And probably snowballed as a result of them not having to handle these types of situations as a regular occurrence. I don't think they had the proper communication mechanisms in place.

    I can't say if the company is going downhill because of the buyout a few years back, but I can say that I know so little about it because I haven't really had to concern myself.

    Although, as a result of recent events they have clearly lost their "intelligence" coefficient in their customer support staff as the phones are now answered by new hires and contract staff. I'm not sure what happened there...

    Whatever their internal problems are, it's not affecting me as an end user in general.
