The day after signing up with DSLX my verizon was cut. No notice, no warning, no dsl for 10 days. For this, I blame Verizon, not DSLX but it took over a week to change over thanks to Verizon. Other then that startup mess and the fact that I have to log on everytime I start up my computer as opposed to being always on. When I tried using the connection with a wii console it didn't work. Something about having the wrong type connection? So no netflix I guess. Price jumped up to almost $40/mo and speed is slower then everyone else I know here . Also no wifi modem available ! Why is that? Everyone else offers it.

Persistent Connection

Hi bobby0 See Profile,

Thanks for your support of DSL Extreme. In your review you mentioned the need to login in every time that you start your computer vs being constantly connected. I assume that you are on a dynamic connection that authenticates via PPPoE. If so in order to get a persistent connection where you don't have to login each time you start your computer you should be able to set either your router (if you are using one) or your modem to do the PPPoE authentication for you. This will eliminate the need to have your computer or any other device like your Wii. Our support team can assist you with getting that setup if you want to give them a call or you can feel free to reach out to dslx_nick See Profile or dslx_steve See Profile and one of them should be able to assist.

Thanks again for your support.
