I signed up for the bundled package there offering in the phoenix area. They offered me 7 Meg's for downloading.. They had trouble understanding DSL questions such as do you support bridge mode on DSL modems and other basic internet questions such as what ports do you block?
At 10:45 they gave up on helping me.. I signed up for 7 Meg service. All the speed test I did were around 1.5 to 2 Megs.
They basically said They have done everything they could do and they couldnt fix the problem I replied that Ill stick with Cox since they know what theyre doing compared to them..
They didn't like that response.
The next day I called the business office to cancel and only then they would be willing to send out a "DSL Tech" for free... I said ok and went back to the store to exchange my dsl modem for a better one.
After they came out and fixed the first fools mistakes on wiring the phone for qwest and it work for about 5 hours at 6 megs and then went back down to 1.5 to 2 megs.
Be aware of the cheap bundle price. They got people that respond to "ding fries are done" as network experts.
I'm sticking with Cox.
service with century link They have horribly inconsistent service. I have had problems for years but have no other options in my area. they sales people charged me for 5 meg for 2 years until I found out they could only give me 3 on the lines I had , they suck as a company and their dsl sucks also. If you have an option go with something else
Re: service with century link Have you ever thought that maybe, JUST MAYBE, someone made a mistake and its not the company. I am really sick and tired of hearing people complain about the damn company when it could be just the sales persons mistake. They try so hard to please the customer. This is their job. They are humans. And for the rudeness that the sales people put up with over the phone, each one of those rude people should be in timeout!

Re: service with century link I used to be nieve and think yeah, some dumbass tech messed up, and that poor exec is getting the short end because his billion-dollar company is loosing. NOOooo! WRONG, it is 100% both their faults, here is how this works in the real world, eat or be eaten. I run a small company, sales tech screws up i fire them. I know several companies who play the game, they hire dumb people, because they are greedy and want 6$/hr people, then they get what they pay for. I say have some respect for your self, if you work at some crap company, and you are getting yelled at you are part of the problem, quit your job and go get a real on. Or better yet please, just please yell at your shitty manager.
