Just had my CenturyLink internet (40Mb download / 20 Mb upload) installed today. [1/4/13] The installation was painless with their Self Install kit. The modem wizard to get connected to the internet was easily comprehendable in my opinion [for the general public]. As a former tech support representative of another telco who provided VDSL fiber services, I must say.. I'm impressed. I always saw the "problems" being in support, so I knew what I was up against. My line seems clean, as I'm getting good speeds and a stable connection. I'm going to run a ping -t to google for a few hours while I'm out and report back if there's any dropped packets. Hope this helps others in my area. If you're able to get the 40/20 package, get it! Hopefully you have the quality line as they intend to deliver.

[ Update 1/5/13 ] Ping test results as I had promised. Here they are.

Ping statistics for
Packets: Sent = 65481, Received = 65481, Lost = 0 (0% loss),
Approximate round trip times in milli-seconds:
Minimum = 29ms, Maximum = 121ms, Average = 30ms

Looks good! Now to see if it all stays like this through the test of time..
