Good "On time, speeds as advertized, consistent latency, < 60 sec to get to tech support. Can get static IPs on a residential acct." Bad "Web site is iffy. The reverse dns tool always times out. No native IPv6 yet." Overall "Happy with the switch from Comcast 100/20 to CL 40/20 both from a price and quality perspective. Don't miss the extra DL speed."

I'm 1 month in from a switch from Comcast 100/20 to CL 40/20. Picked up an Actiontec C1000A from Best Buy and called in the order on a Wednesday, CL still shipped me a modem which they subsequently credited back. Service was up the following Monday at 4:30 PM as promised. As I was experimenting with bridged mode, I had to call in to get my PPPoE password and order a block of 8 IP addresses. I think the call took 4 minutes total. The following Trursday evening, I took a 15 minute outage right at 5pm and after that I was getting only 20/20. After troubleshooting with tech support they sent a tech out on Sunday who found that my pair had been split across 2 adjacent DSLAM ports. Apparently someone was doing an install that Thursday and goofed my service up in the process. Once the pairs were straightened out, I was back to normal service.
The bad... The online Static IP Reverse DNS tool is highly unreliable. I had to call in to get my reverse DNS set up. Took only a few minutes. The Actiontec web interface only works with Internet Explorer. I had to fire up a Windows virtual machine to configure the modem. No native IPv6 yet but CL provides a 6rd tunnel and I've got one with Hurricane Electric anyway.
Bottom line... The first week was a little shaky but the service has been rock solid since then. Calls to tech support never took longer than 60 seconds to get to a live person. Comcast sometimes took 15-20 minutes. First hop pings are a little higher than Comcast but jitter is nonexistent and there are no spikes or humps in latency during peak times as there were with Comcast. I've got a block of static IPs which I couldn't get with Comcast.
