Worst Customer ServiceTrying to give CenturyLink additional business and bundle my existing phone service with their internet service....after 4 different calls to customer service, each more than 40 mins, different info each time, "can't find order", "found order with different info", "don't even show your existing service", I cancelled my order entirely. This is truly bad business when you can't even GIVE them new business! Although thier prices were lower than cable, I wasted more time and effort than was worth it! If there were another land line carrier, I'd go with them instead and cancel that as well. TERRIBLE

Century Link is the worst.I live in a rather secluded area and unfortunately Century Link DSL is all that is available at my house in regards to internet. I have NEVER had such a bad experience with internet before.
I have to restart my modem every time I want to use the internet because it's always a horrible connection and takes at least 3-5 minutes to load a webpage. So I call customer service and they say everything on their end is alright and low and behold my speed test is actually what I'm paying for while I'm on the phone with them. Normally my speed test is at 3mpbs download......while I pay for 8. This is ridiculous. When someone is on wifi, we can't even think about using the internet because it won't work.
They say my internet server is located in Harrisburg and Ohio, I live an hour north of Pittsburgh, PA so each time I want a weather or news report it gives it for those locations instead of anywhere near where I actually live. Oh and it just so happens that every winter I have a problem with mice nests around the internet box down the road from my house so a technician has to come and clean them out and then my internet will work okay for about a week and go back to mayhem.
If I had a choice of Century Link DSL or dial-up I'd most certainly go back to dial-up. This is the worst internet service provider I've ever had.
DO NOT GET CENTURY LINK, THEY ARE USELESS IDIOTS WHO STEAL YOUR MONEY.

Re: Century Link is the worst. All Century Link does is try to send out new modems instead of fixing the real issues, THEIR CRAPPY INTERNET. I've had Century Link for over 8 years now and I've always had problems but it's getting to be too much. Years ago I had to get a new phone number and phone jack installed just so my computer would stop this nonsense and it hasn't helped one bit.
