    Embarq advertises 1.5M and 768k for our phone. However, no one in our neighborhood can get more than 512k. Embarq has no plans to upgrade our area to a faster speed. Switched to Comcast for 6 M speed.

    No point in paying for what you can't get. Hope it all works out well with Comcast.
