We will be leaving Embarq next month. We are moving to Missouri.
There we will be limited to DSL speeds of 2 or 3 megs MAXIMUM!!.
So, those who complain about speeds, etc, you are luckier than you may know.

We stand by our review of Embarq, and will miss the speeds, service, etc. Hopefully with it becoming CenturyLink, it will stay as good as it is now or get even better!

THey need to buy out the Ozark Phone company.......hint hint.

I have had Embarq's DSL for over 10 years now, and it smokes the local cable ISP hands down.
Embarq's tech support is courteous, knowledgeable, and will go to whatever lengths to be sure that your questions are answered, and you are satisfied.
I have the dynamic IP. The service goes through the modem, to my router, then to my wifes and my computers.
I've been on the 'net for well over a decade, and have had all the hype, including Comcasts Internet service. What the cable people don't tell you is that the more people there are on a node, the SLOWER it will be, and there is no way around it.
Whereas Embarq's DSL, is as advertised, and much more reliable and stable.

This is an update to my original review. The only things that have changed is the date on the calendar, and that what was Sprint local phone/internet is now Embarq.
