Sprint (now Embarq) could not get this account up for ~~ 45 days [due to some kind of equipment problems between house and CO]. Neighbor waited 60 days till he got his!! Service since then has been great. Ported a phone line back from PatMedia (Other ISP source) to function as a back-up for their occasional {multi-day} outages . Since modem is in "bridged" mode don't have routine access to line parameters but it always seems to be there and is has very good multi-hour ping record and BBR line checks. DSL price is a lot steeper than it would be if Verizon was in this area. IP is supposedly dynamic but hasn't changed in ~ 3 months so I'm assuming it has not been down significantly during that period.
Equipment: Arris cable modem (w/ two digital phone lines), Xyxel 660 DSL Modem, Symantec VPN 200 Dual WAN router(two of them with one in "hot standby"), 16 port Linksys switch , three wireless access points ,five/six computers, HP 3310 wireless printer, Brother MFC8500 fax/multi-function and old HP 722 inkjet printer.
