I have been with Sprint/Embarq for almost 2 years now. I upgraded from a 512 to a 1.5 in January, got more services and lowered my bill by almost $20.00 a month. I figured that was a good deal. I also upgraded to a static IP.

All as been working great until Wednesday morning when I tried to connect and got nothing. Figuring my router glitched I did a restart and then tried another router. I got nothing. I finally did a reset and low and behold with the router in DHCP it connected immediately, but no success in getting on with my IP settings. I used the internet chat tech who told me my account didn't have a static IP and I should call. I called and was told my account was DHCP. So I asked how it was that I had all of the information for a static IP then? Well apparently somewhere between tech and the sales dept and engineering I had a static IP flag was given an IP but never entered into the system so Wednesday morning they gave away my IP!!! This could have been a huge deal if I depended on that IP fortunately I do not. Still annoying though. On the bright side they were very quick in letting me know and getting back to me with help. They are getting me a new IP and I decided to upgrade to a 3.0 line to see if I like it better.
