I was offline for about 4 months and was delited to find out they bumped up the speeds for the same price that I had before. They now offer for the basic package 5mbps download / 384 kbps upload. It helps out alot since I have 6 pc's throughout the house.
Install was very easy for them since throughout those 4 months of no internet, I rewired the whole house. The last time they installed cable for me, they drilled a hole through one of my basement windows. It was a real shotty job. This time I demanded that they come in where my phone line enters. Everything else was done for them. I renewed the ip address with my router and was good to go.
I was a little scared seeing the new modems they are handing out. I have been dealing with Motorola modems in the past. They set up a Terayon TJ 715 modem that is new to me. I havn't come across any problems with it other then the data light NEVER stops blinking. Even with all the pc's off in the house. I'm still investigating that issue.
I'm monitoring my internet use for a few months to see if I need to buy the premium package, which I believe is 8 megs download. As of now I dont see that being an issue.
**UPDATE** October 29th, 2008.
I no longer have the TWC package since moving.
