I've been debating getting RoadRunner for a while now and finally did it. I went down to the local TWC cable office early Saturday morning and picked up the self install kit. Within about a half hour after starting to install it was up and running! I had to pull a high pass filter off the cable line inside the house at the point of entry to get the modem (Toshiba PCX2600) to see the network however, no big deal and it didn't cause any TV problems.
I am so far VERY satisified with RR, someone from RR called me last night to ask if I liked the service and how it was working out, I told them it was great so far. I'm supposed to get the first month free with self install, I'll see if I did when the next cable bill comes.
So far I've noticed I've had 3 IP address changes.
If you're thinking of getting RoadRunner stop thinking and go do it!

Update: 1/27/04
I've had RR for 10 days now and for the past 10 days it was up and running and offline. More off than on. Seemed to be temperature related and today the techs came and sure enough, water freezing in the 26 year old coax was cutting the signal. They ran all new cable from the pole to the house 2 hours ago and BINGO! It's working the way it's supposed to work! No more blinking cable light!
The techs were great, they were supposed to come at 4pm but were there when I got home from work at 3:30 and they were half way done. They were gone at 4pm. I was happy the coming snow storm held off!
So I'll update this in a month or so to update things here, Thanks to Poughkeepsie's TWC techs for the great job.
Update: 4/3/04
So far my Road Runner is still working GREAT. It has not gone down once (while I'm awake anyway) since it was fixed back in January. Speeds are still great. So at this time I am one happy camper. Let's hope it continues!

UPDATE: 12/27/04
Just did a speed test and we got a download speed increase! From low to mid 2mb to low to upper 4mb! Since my cable line was replaced last January it's been ROCK SOLID! Road Runner rocks! Thanks RR!
Update 7/4/05
Road Runner continues to work just great for me. It never goes down, at least when I'm awake anyway! It DID go down a few days ago due to a series of real bad thunderstorms in the late afternoon but Time Warner had it back up in about an hour.
I have absolutely no troubles with Road Runner, I continue to be very satisfied with it and highly recommend it. Kudos to our local (Poughkeepsie,N.Y.) Time Warner for doing such a great job keeping it up and running.

Well after over 2 years of having Road Runner I can honestly say that it is STILL rock solid and I still LOVE IT! The price ($44.95) has stayed the same so far also. I NEVER see an outage while I am awake. NEVER. Speed is close to 5kbps! I am THRILLED with Road Runner!

Well in a few months it'll be 3 years with Road Runner and I couldn't be more happy with it. Maybe one or 2 outages a year and they are VERY brief. It's just always on. I understand there may be speed increases soon as well. The Price is still the same too. I'm a very satisfied customer!

Here we are over 4 years after getting RoadRunner and it STILL runs great! I can not remember the last time it was down. Speed has increased in these 4+ years from 3mb down to nearly 10mb down with NO PRICE INCREASE! To say I am thrilled is an understatement.
