Well today I just switched from Earthlink to RR. TW said they would take care of everything, including canceling EL. I've just logged on and activated everything, looks really good so far. I didn't even have to power cycle the modem or anything, my ip just changed from mindspring.com, to nc.rr.com. I will update this review later if anything happens.
Edit: 10/20/05 Had to call RR tech support cause the internet went out. Turns out that after I had installed KAV 5.0 personal, it messed up the connection. RR support was helpful enough, and transferred to Level 3 support when level 1 couldn't help. There it was suggested that I try to uninstall KAV. Sure enough it worked. Great customer service!
Edit: 11/24/05 Service is rock solid. No problems here at all.
Edit: 1/25/06 Awesome service, no problems and speeds are almost always as advertised, even during peak times.
Edit: 4/2/06 Things are still running great here, only complaint is the upload speeds, hopefully an upgrade is coming...
Edit:6/18/06 Just had an outage...called up RR customer support and it was confirmed..lasted a few minutes and things are back to normal now.
Edit:7/5/06 Another outage, lasted about 10 minutes. Wonder what's going on?
Edit: 7/15/09 So its been years since I've updated this. I've had no problems and they've increased the speed to 7 down/384k up, the upload still sucks which is my only complaint. I've noticed that they've added powerboost which is very nice. Screenshot is below.
