Brighthouse is really trying to improve their service and pricing in the TampaBay area, FIOS has put the fear of god into them and it showes, I'm one lucky customer that is benifiting from the new competition!
I am currently on a 10/1 package with Digital Cable fro 85.00 month ... I had DSL/Dish but got a new HDTV and only Brighthouse has full HDTV so I made the switch. I had interminate signal issues and figured out that the upstream was maxed out at the cable modem ( and I have the modem right at the incomming spliter ). It took three visits and a few phone calls and finally a line tech to tweak the local node, but things are now flawless and my 10/1 provides full performance 24/7 without lag or slow downs.
TV quailty for Digital is OK, HDTV feeds are good execpt the local NBC HDTV keeps dropping audio, this really isn't Brighthouse as even FIOS has feed issues from local stations and HDTV ... growning pains for HDTV I guess. Analog is fair, but this judgement is more a reflection of I'm now hooked on HDTV.
Brighthouse is always pleasent on the phone, when I had the road-runner issues they were good listeners and without question would bump me to a tier 3 tech instead of making you walk thru a script. They have come along way and I'm content with them until FIOS gets here ( suppose to be here in Lakeland 2007)
From a price performance, 42.99 for 10/1 is a great deal, only 2 years ago I paid 150.00 for 7/786 on DSL !
