    My Other Reviews·Internet Junction ..
I finaly had to give into the crapble monster and get HSI via cable. At the time I was connected via Internet Junction a local Tampa area ISP who resold cable internet. Yes, essentially I was a RR customer, but the distinction was enough for me that I wasn't really a crable sub to be acceptable. I don't care for crapble companies at all. I use DBS for video and always will. I don't do bundles just to get one bill, and crapble will never have the better price even on bundles.

In 02/07 BH/TWC decided for some reason that it was not going to renew IJ's cable agreement, no details from any one was provided or given if questioned. Just BH/TWC/RR ended the deal, and you can get IJ DSL (NOPE!) or RR. I was a very happy customer till then with zero issues and only down time was either maintenance or man made by damaged plant, minimal.

The connection is realiable and offers a good value for the money. Thanks to Fios competition in the area RR here is 8MBS/512K v. the normal 5M/384K in other areas.

As of 06/07 BH/TWC/RR has announced packet shaping on P2P and UseNet. This is UNACCEPTABLE UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES. BUILD YOUR NETWORK OUT TO HANDLE THIS OR DON'T UP THE SPEEDS if you CAN'T HANDLE IT! ! ! !

Fios construction is occurring in my area and wheni t becomes available to me, Goodby crapble RR and hello Fios! ! I was planning on keeping RR due to the inbound port 80 block on Fios, but with this new packet shaping crap, I will not keep it. I would switch to DSL, but in my area VZ has not maintained or upgraded the copper plant to allow for DSL.

So overall I've been a happy customer till the forced switch to a reall RR customer and then the packet shapping crap.

I won't reccomend them unless they are absolutely the only choice now.
