I am one of the many who converted from Comcast to Time Warner. I was a bit disappointed as I was looking forward to the PowerBoost that Comcast was about to roll out at the time, but I decided to wait it out. Little did I know the chaos that would ensue.
Soon after the conversion, my speed was downgraded to 8/512. I called and asked what was going on. They said I would get my Comcast speeds back asap. That took a week or two. Once that happened, I even got an upgrade to 10/1. That is where I sit at today, as I type this.
Since that time; I have had to suffer outage after outage; ranging from things such as "coaxial cable upgrades" to "fiber cuts" to even such things as "just plain slow speeds". At least they haven't killed their DNS servers yet like Comcast did *knock on wood*.
Minus the fiber cuts though, it's been fairly reliable, so I can't complain. I just wish they would upgrade the speeds some more to compete with FiOS; which is available only a mile or so away from here. As I have been told, it's coming, but no one seems to know when.

UPDATE Sunday 3/23/2008:
I have been informed (finally) that the speed upgrades are coming by June sometime to this area. So I guess now it is just a wait and see game. The service has been more reliable since my last update, except I had to get a new modem last month (not my fault though). Other than that, not too bad.
