OK my DSL went south when some assclown cut my 10-yr old dedicated line I ran down the building from the 6th floor over the 30'ft high garage and to my 87 year old phone box with it's 60-80 year old single twisted pair.
AT&T CS was always 2nd to none........... until they moved out of the country! I can't understand a single word their reps say now. The phone lines in my blg suck and I'm tired of having AT&T techs out (I only pay $10 for 1.5 DSL AND an unused landline).
I called TW and at 2:00AM talked to a CSR less than 2 miles from my house who gave me a free modem, $35 install and 1 yr at $20 per month.
Didn't want to bother with the tech directing me to the homepage and then realized I had to set-up TW e-mail.
Brilliant quick and helpful tecjh support.
I found a $100 FREE security package from THE only worthwhile security company CA (top company for enterprise usuers) compliments of TW.
AT&T cheaped out a few months ago and went to POS NORTON! Norton or MacAfee is worse than having a virus!
I already have CA on this computer so I called TW support to find out if I could DL the CA Suite to a CD and load on my other computer that will now be AT&T they checked it out and said yes...but there might be probs with updating and I should call them to see if they can do a work-around.
WAY over and above customer service. Crazy CHEAP prices compared to the price-gouging $57.50 per CrapCast charged us before TW liberated us. It's difficult to find enough words to properly praise TW!

It sounds like darbacour got an introductory package TV/internet deal on his install then cancelled the internet later breaking up the package and getting standard pricing for the TV service.
