    My Other Reviews·Sprint Mobile Broa..
After having adelphia/comcast at my previous home for a long time I would be happy with 50% uptime so having it not go down at all is really great... I placed the order through the phone sales department and they were really helpful..

I called on a Thursday night at like 10pm and the install was scheduled from 2-4 on saturday and they gave me a free install. The technician showed up at 1:55 on saturday and was a very painless process because i just asked him to leave the modem in the living room because i didn't have my computer yet... He was happy with that, all he had to do was hook up the cable outside. They left me a tiny Scientific Atlanta modem That seems to work a whole lot better than the 150 terayon and motorola modems that i had over the years from adelphia...

Problem is that when i hooked everything up and got it all the way it should be I did the speed test and got 723 Kbps dn and 62 Kbps up with a great signal strength. So I called tech support and they reprovisioned the modem and it improved to 6243 Kbps dn and 476 Kbps up but still not the 10/1 that I ordered..

So I call them back and they blame it on my computer and routers and hurricanes and tornadoes and etc... Basically that they had nothing to do with it, I was transferred to a supervisor (of sorts) and he asked my specs and connections, signal strength and such.. They decided that the only thing they could do was send a technician to figure out what was wrong. The tech was here the next morning on time and replaced the modem and checked all the things that they asked me about and decided that "10/1 won't work here maybe". He called in to bright house and told a supervisor his diagnosis and they decided to give me the RR Turbo for 29.95 for a year and when they get the problem with the system right that I will have 10/1 for $30.

To sum it all up in a few words the connection is solid, the tech support is good as they don't let a problem go unsolved, pretty good value from a local company.

nothing has changed but I still have RR Turbo on my bill...

Update 5/9/08: I bought in to bright house's deal to get the HD DVR and RR Turbo 15/2 for 109.90 a month and everything is working well I just ran a speed test and see that the results were alot better than expected
