I have been paying for the Road Runner Turbo which is supposed to get Download Rates of UP ot 15 Meg.
The Average is 5-6 Meg Does not matter what time of day or night.
I am not satisfied w. RR at all

| RR I just had my cable crash, for 1 weeks
after calling and complaining, they change the outside cable and internal cable and told me my system was ok
but is not as snappy as it was before.
download is 5MB but upload now is 400KB (used to be 1.2 MB)
this makes the web experience seen slower.. pages take more to refresh even when dowload are ok
they told me to upgrade to RR turbo
12 MB download and 795 KB upload..
my impression is that I was down because they where converting to the new serve with RR Turbo and now the lag is their new web experience for basic Road Runner
Agree this is a joke, will try Pro DSL and see the experience.... | |

| Re: RR I assume there is something going on, on their end(outside your house). As I have Turbo in Ohio and I get 15mbps or more. Sure sometimes its slower but its usually over 1MByte/s depending on the server. I find it common to get 1.8Mbyte/s consistently even with my roommate surfing the net. | |

| time warner cable  I work for time warner, i install and also service it as well, most problems i see out there is the customers pc, not rr. speed test can always very and when one of them tells you its slow i think peoples minds play tricks on them. My wife has an older laptop I have a new computer her speed test always come out slow, mine are always good, and yes we are both wireless. most of the time its the prosesor speed that can help u out so I'd tell most people when choosing a new pc get intel there alsome | |
