I've had Time Warner Cable ("RoadRunner") for 3 years. This review is about their internet.
Problems:
1) To sign up I called from my cellphone, which like most people under 50 nowadays is my only phone. My cellphone was a non-LA number and TW Cable redirects you when you call based on your area code. This resulted in an endless loop ending in it taking about a month to get internet. It's actually a funny story, you can read it here:

2) Once I had internet things went alright, but more recently for the past 6 months the internet has gone down once a month, every month. I don't always get an explanation, although on one occasion I was charged a fee for it going down - ultimately I learned that somehow half - not all - about half my account info was deleted, which resulted in some late fees and my connection being switched off, but since my contact info is part of what was deleted, they failed to ever let me know about these fees. After being excessively nice to the customer service rep they removed the fees and turned my service back on, but it has gone down twice since, and I've not received a credit for any of the 6 months so far.
The constant outtages are really getting ridiculous. I'd go on, but the internet has already reached its quota of rants, so I instead refer you to a google search for your favorite swear word - pretend a rant you find was posted here. Enjoy.
Personally I'm done with Time Warner Cable as soon as I find a better alternative on this site. I can't recommend them unless you just don't feel like looking into a better option.
