I switched from Verizon DSL to RoadRunner because Time Warner offered a triple play for 89.99 per month. Since my cable alone was going to cost $80 per month ($111 with fees and boxes) I jumped. I am sorry I did. I am fully tweaked and get the advertised speeds on speed tests but the basic package is 10M/512kb. 512 is pathetic.
I also notice that web pages load more slowly than they did on DSL and videos are very choppy.
I also got the phone and they never disclosed that there was a $25 activation fee for it.
All in all I am sorry I switched. DSL was more reliable for me and the 768 upload was a plus.
The only good news is that Verizon engineers have mapped the building and are scheduled to start wiring in Feb or Mar.
