My Other Reviews

·AT&T Southeast
Finally got tired of AT&T DSL and started researching cable as it was my other alternative.

First thing I realized is that you should buy your own modem. $68 once at the egg beats $8/mo hands down.

Last time I had a cable modem was 2003 on DOCSIS 1.1. I learned to hate the cable modem due to the limited shared capacity. The kids up the street coming home from school would take the whole block down with Napster and MySpace. So I went with DSL and it was great until my kids discovered YouTube.

So I received my modem on Friday and called up TWC. They scheduled the install for Monday afternoon 1-2. Tech called me at 1:30 said he was on his way. He arrived at 2:02 and it took him 1.5 hours, including pulling a new line through my crawlspace and updating my grounding since I haven't had cable TV at this house since 2008.

DOCSIS 3.0 rocks.
