Optimum Online is the best broadband experience you can have for those of us who are privileged to be able to get it. Set-up was one, 2, 3, just as you see in their TV add with Allen Houston. I just decided one day I had enough with the constant disconnects, fluctuations and dropping of bandwidth I had with DSL, so I went to The Wiz picked up a Motorola SB4100 Surfboard Modem went home and in seconds, I was online. I had 1computer on DSL and the other on OOL and in a side-by-side comparison there was none. OOL just plain blew away the DSL line and this was before I learned of the OOL forum on Broadband (DSL) reports.com. I did a few simple tweaks and my 1500 download speed doubled to 3000. I then received two firmware upgrades for my modem from OOL tech Engineer88 and I am now cursing at an average of 1.08MB a second. I would recommend OOL to everyone who can get it. You can get now at a discount for $39.95 a month with family cable or $49.95 a month without any cable at all. Currently they are giving away a free modem to use (usually the new SB4200) and you have NO CONTRACT to sign so you can cancel any time if you decide you do not want the service anymore. I have been using OOL for almost a year now and I cannot see myself going on to any other service. OOL has been stable problem free. I would highly recommend OOL to all who can get it.

3 Years later still going strong same 10/1 same Motorola SB 4100 never a glitch but service now costs $44.95 per month.
Well with the onslaught of the triple play ya can't get much better than this. Now all 3 sevices plus HD for the same price I was paying for 2. It doesn't take a rocket scientist to jump on this one.
