I ordered in August and the installer came the same week. It took less than 5 minutes to install because I had a Mac. The tech exclaimed that (this was the easiest install ever". After he left I moved the modem to the basement to the first split in the cable line and increased the speed to about 6000/900. Why would anyone want DSL with OOL in town?

    UPDATE:
Still fast and reliable after almost a year. I cancelled my regular cable connection but kept OOL. That upped the price to about $49 a month. No big deal. I saved at least the difference when I switched to DirecTV.

    ANOTHER UPDATE:

SNET DSL just got cheap for me, about 27 beans. Can't pass that up so I will be switching in the very near future.

    YET ANOTHER UPDATE (4/19/2007):
I moved to another town just as ATT DSL upped their rates (a promotional rate expired). I also needed to switch back to cable because DirecTV also upped their rates, making digital cable and HDTV cheaper than DTV. So a phone call on a Friday led to an installer coming over on Tuesday. Digital cable, VoIP, and OOL installation took minutes. Since I switched back to cable from satellite TV, installation was free, and I will be getting a discount for the next year on my monthly bill as well. The friendly and very knowledgeable installer hooked up a Motorola SBV5120 SURFboard cable modem with VoIP.

Speed tests have shown that the connection with OOL via my Apple Airport Extreme 802.11n router is extremely fast. 10522 Kb/s down, and 1674 Kb/s up.

I can't complain so far. I doubt that I will in the near future. I haven't used the VoIP yet. The whole package (digital cable, OOL, and VoIP) only cost 3 dollars more than if I only got cable and OOL.

    UPDATE 11/17/08
Still fast, still awesome. If you live in an area serviced by Cablevision/Optimum and don't have OOL, you are a moron. OOL is the best. Period. Had to call a couple of times for TV, but never for OOL.
