I have had OOL service since 04/09/2000 (Self-Install package from the Wiz), and with the exception of one or two incidents where my service was interrupted for any length of time (once from someone who connected illegally to the cable in my area, and once due to a squirrel eating my cable drop at the pole)  It's been rock-solid, and since OOL's recent System Upgrade to 15/2 Basic service, My speeds now average around 12 to 14 Megabits Down, and 1.6 to 1.8 Megabits Up. 
As with ANY ISP, there are some occasional glitches, but they usually are resolved in a timely fashion.
All in all, OOL "blows the doors off" of xDSL service any day.
Update 2/24/09:
OOL has already started Upgrading it's Network for the upcoming DOCSIS 3.0 rollout...
Once the Upgrade is complete, it will provide even HIGHER Speeds than the current BOOST (30/5) Premium tier...
