    I suggested this to my parents in June/July 2000 about high speed internet over the old crap AOL dialup we've had since my parents moved here in late 1993. It's been very smooth since then.Install process took 1-2 hours and was online the same day. I love this connection, the most I've gotten downloading was around 1.5mb/s burst until it fazed down to around 300kb/s, and I usually get 1mb/s to my host's ftp.

    8 years later, OOL seems to be still going strong for the family household. We _might_ look into FIOS in the future tho.
