Moved to Torrington, Connecticut six months ago from another part of the state with Comcast. The very fast speed of Cablevision's Boost service was one of my deciding factors in moving to this area.
I didn't even consider the AT&T DSL which is only 6 Mbps down and 768 Kbps upload for their "Elite" service. It's a good price but I wanted faster.
Before we moved I called to setup the appointment and told them I wanted the Triple Play service with "everything". All the cable channels, phone service, and optimum "Boost" internet.
The installation went smoothly, no problems. Since I had the service installed in November 2007 I have not had any technical issues. Everything has run smoothly and I couldn't be happier with the service. Much better and faster than Comcast. I almost always get my rated speed of 30 Mbps download and 5 Mbps upload with rarely any slowdowns.
My monthly bill for Optimum's Triple Play with everything, including Boost, is $204 a month. That includes service on three HDTVs, one with a DVR, and Howard TV on demand. In my opinion, not a bad price for all the cable channels (including HD), excellent phone service and extremely fast internet.
