My Verizon voice and DSL line went out on a Friday and Verizon was unable to send someone to the house until Wednesday. I called CV and an installer was sent on Tuesday. The Verizon Repair Dept is the worst that I have ever experienced. CV services are much more reliable and a repair tech is always sent out the next day. Optimum Online is very reliable and fast. Optimum Voice is outstanding as compared to Verizon Voice. The call quality is better and the Optimum Voice website is really cool. Verizon has nothing like it at all.
UPDATE: I have been streaming Netflix in HD for about a year and OOL has been providing a very fast internet connection for this. The streaming is sometimes going to 2 TV's at once and both TV's have excellent HD. The time is fast approaching when OOL will become the only service that I may need from CV. I have already turned off all the movie channels and plan to turn off all the cable channels soon. The phone service has been excellent also so I will probably keep that as well. CV just charges way too much for the cable channels.
