I ordered the basic internet package (15/2) and it was installed without incident using a WebSTAR DPX2203 modem (DOCSIS 2). I've generally been happy with my speeds which have stayed in the 12-15 Mb range during off-peak hours, but often plummet to ~2Mb range or lower during peak hours.
My other option was AT&T DSL, but after having a bad experience with AT&T in Chicago, I was eager to steer clear of them.
The one bad thing I have to say about Optimum Online is that their web interface for account management is quite terrible and difficult to use.
