I was an Optimum Online customer from 2001 - 2004. I canceled the service because of the high price, connection reliability problems, and poor email servers. In June 2011, I signed up with OOL again. I'm pleased to say that Cablevision has improved the service since my earlier experiences with them. Although I had problems with the speed in peak hours, I arranged for a service call, and the tech installed an Arris TM802G DOCSIS 3 modem. I now get 18 / 1.8 Mbps at all times.
