    I am an X-DirecTV DSL User. Was with Telocity, DirecTV using a dead line for my service. Then when I lost my service I found that I could not get DSL on my regular line because it was Fiber!! Now that floored me! I tried several companies and was having no luck so I ordered comcast just to hold me over. I have always been a stout DSL fan and was very disapointed to find out I couldn't get the service. I did some more research and found that I could activate my dead line ( all copper ) and get the DSL service that I wanted but as it stands right now I think I run with comcast for awhile and see how it goes. No horror stories about comcast thus far. I do have trouble with my email from time to time but not for prolonged periods. My connection slows from time to time but my download speeds far exceed what I was getting from DSL. All in all I'm happy with the service.

    The speed I ordered was 1800 x 256 and I'm getting that most of the time. I have a dynamic IP but use a thrid part tool to redirect my IP witch is the same as having a static.
