    I no longer use Comcast since I moved to Florida and am using Road Runner...

    Well I went from VDSL to Cable, called and decided to pick up the self install kit, 6 hours later I was surfing the net at speeds between 990 to 1300, not quite the advertice speed but now I am not seen the speed drops that I witnesed with verizon, even at pick hours I am still getting at least 900 with verizon I never knew when I was gonna drop to 56k speeds

    Still mostly happy with the service that Comcast is providing. Granted I am getting between
    65% to 75% of the adverticed download speed, and not near the adverticed upload speed. At the very least I can say that I have a stable internet connection so far, no drops, no mayor variance on speed changes. Just hope that eventually I can get closer to the adverticed upload speed.

    990 to 1300

    kilobits per second?
    kiloBytes per second?

    If it's 1000 kiloBytes per second, then you're getting around 8 to 10 Megabits per second. That's faster than a speeding bullet.

    If it's 1000 kilobits per second, that's a Megabit per second. That would be pretty pitiful, and I would call Comcast and ask them when they're going to get you into the 21st Century.
