    yes i do work for comcast but i didnt when i first got my connection. i did have bad ping times at first but upon checking my lines i discovered i had an old splitter so i replaced it with a 1ghz splitter ping times dropped dramatically i now have an average of 22-35 ms ping to just about any site. i love my connection. i will not tell you what isp to choose since im obviously biased since i now work there. But before i did and up to now i still love the connection never had more then an hour outage in 2 years.

    12-29-03 well my connection is still solid no complaints. i love it. i have minor issues that was due to a firmware update on my router but thats all been cleared up. i know every one thinks im biased, i suppose i am but what i write is true. i have had before i worked here and i still would have it after i left here.

    1-6-04 my modem kept rebooting on me and i didnt know why all sigs looked good but modem lost sync 38 times in one day so i set up for a tech call. he came out right at 8:30 and checked all my connections checked my levels found they were all good so he said lets try and replace the modem. i now have a castlenet docsis 2.0 modem dcx250 and it has been running smooth for the last week no downtime. i still wont switch my connection i dont have many problems at all with it

    ever since i switched to the docsis 2.0 modem i havent had one issue at all speed stays constant up and down. modem hasnt gone off once since it has been hooked up. only draw back is i wish they would increase upload to around 356k or better its killer updating websites some times. other then this i still love the connection and download speeds.

    i havent had any downtime that i didnt cause my self by not updating firmware on router. i have great ping times while playing online games like FF XI ping is 20-30 ms. still very happy with my service

    Well its been a while since my last update but here it is. i am working great no real problems outside the dns issue ( witch only effected me for a whole 10 min while i switched to some backups i have ) i am really happy with my service so far and wont be changing anytime soon. i had issues playing WoW but upon investigation we found that the speed issue is with the blizzard network my ping times up to their network are 32ms and below.

    All still great power boost working great uptime only one outage not comcast accident took out pole out front of my home less then 24hrs out.

    its been awhile since my last review so here it goes... still stable connection and fast speed. we are feeling the effects of the BT block on uploads but doesnt effect me much since i only used for linux distros. so i just use the ftp for it. still hae issues once in a while with ping times playng WoW but its not all Comcast issue Blizzards backbone is part of issue. im still happy with the service. i also have verizon fios here but i wont switch to another company just for higher speeds i rather have reliability an so far comcast hasnt let me down.

    same as before no major outages that affected me. service is still running great rock solid. no complaints.
