    Update 10-09-07

I'm still with Comcast. Nothing big to report. The service has been great for me. Very few outages in the last couple years I have had Comcast HSI. Since the last update this review they have added Power Boost. Which inflates my speed tests and improves download speed for the first minute or two. Does help with small files around 2 MB or smaller. Big files not a huge improvement. Qwest has finally upgrade to this neighborhood but haven't' thought once about dropping Comcast. I enjoy the faster speeds cable can offer me over Qwest.

    Update 07-06-06

I have upgraded to 8MB plan for a awhile now. I am still happy with the service I have received so far from comcast. Last year or so I can't recall any significant down time. Depending on the server I am able to pull the full 8MB. Latency remains great for when I feel like playing some online games. Peak times I don't see any slow downs. So far in Loveland Comcast remains a great broadband provider. Small complaint would be upload speed. I wish the 8MB tier was 1MB upload. I think its 768kbps right now.

    Updated Review

I have had Comcast HSI over a year now. I was on the upgraded tier 6MB and it worked great. Not using the Internet as much so I just downgraded to the 4MB plan. Customer service has been helpful when I have needed them. Had one month I got double billed when I first upgraded to the 6MB plan. They promptly fixed the error.

Service has been reliable. I would say just a tad less reliable then when I had DSL. The first few months service was available in Loveland had some growing pains with outages here and there. Last 6 months or so just a few very brief outages.

Latency for my FPS games is still great, much better then when I was with Qwest. I would still recommend Comcast HSI to anyone in Loveland that can get it.

I wish it was a little cheaper, Qwest DSL has really dropped in price locally. I still wouldn't give it up for the better latency though.
