I have only had Comcast HSI for a week, but so far no dropped connections. The installer had no problems hooking it up and my speeds are as advertised, even better if tested at various sites. I live in Campbellsville, KY and the choices are Alltell DSL extreme package for 34.95 advertised speds at 3/384, I tried it but never got above 1900 on speed test, probably due to distance, and then Comcast standard tier 4/384 and the home networking tier 6/768. I left Insightbb and I am glad Comcast only charges an additional 10 bucks for the higher tier whereass insightbb charged double with less upload. I think wireless service is available here as well, but I know I couldn't get the speeds that comcast gives me. Ill update as issues arise.
I'm happy about the latest speed upgrades and the boost feature. It makes paying the 52 bucks a month a little more reasonable.
***Update
I switched back to Comcast on 7/8/08 from Windstream DSL. With Windstream I had 3/384 package at 29.99 a month. The price was great but the service was not good with constant dropouts. I'm glad I switched back to Comcast. I got the 8/1 package for about 50 bucks a month. But I get a little over 12 dl and with powerboost I see speeds of 35MB dl! Its great. Upload I see speeds more like 2M ul and with powerboost it flies above 3.5MB. I don't think I'll be switching back anytime soon. So far I've had no outages or disconnects like with Windstream. It's well worth the $30 extra bucks a month.
