*Per Comcast...their "Customer Service"...ISN'T...they can't spell Customer Service...they Lie to you on the phone, make appointments that they don't keep, threaten you when you make an appointment..."There's a $45.00 charge to come out..."...this is ONLY TRUE if the problem ends up being with YOUR equipment...not theirs...which 99.9% of the time it is...I've been using their "High Speed Service" for about 5 months now...yesterday, 9-15-05 Comcast FINALLY sent out an Engineer (Field Service Tech?) who had the equipment.. he needed to test THEIR LINE!
Speed came in at: 224.4KBPS...not anywhere near the "High Speed" one would expect...or was promised when I signed up. I've made more complaints to Comcast then I can count...they continue to "Give" me credit...for a day or two at a time...however, this time I understand that their ONLY Engineer (the other 2 left to go to other companies...) who is qualified, will be out "When he can" to check my line to see why it's so slow...it seems it's "Way Upstream"...so I've NEVER been able to get this so-called "High Speed Service"...as far as I'm concerned, I'm ready to cut the cable (for both HSI and Television (don't get me started on the TV side...)) and go back to rabbit ears and dial-up...they'd both provide superior service compared to Comcast. BTW, I've sent for (because I couldn't get on line to the site) a complaint form from the FCC...it should be arriving within the next few days...I will be filling it out and sending it in...Perhaps the Feds can get the attention of the
"Management" (is there any?) of Comcast
