I've already got Comcast cable tv and the sign-up for HSI was pretty straightforward; self-install kit came within a few days. I use Linux, so the Windows software CD was not significant but it contains a buggy modem authentication wizard that didn't work (for me and many others, it appears), so a call to tech support was needed. A small glitch and the connection has been very reliable ever since. I've got 6000/384 dynamic IP (that stays pretty constant with automatic DHCP lease renewals) and connectivity has been quite good. Upload could be higher and I subscribed to a newsgroup service as the included access is not sufficient for me. I like all the email accounts, each with web space (7/25M, I think) and it is more than enough for what I am doing, right now, with room for expansion. I'm migrating from Earthlink and keep my email addies with a $10/mo account, there, that gives me a little dial-up backup, which I haven't needed, so far.

Well, nothing much has changed. There is some Powerboost, temporary speed increases up and down, which is nice. Reliability has been good; not much to complain about. Price has stayed the same (hope that doesn't jinx it!) Some Sandvine bittorrent disruption, from what I gather, and I use that app occasionally, but have not been impacted, yet. Really, pretty much satisfied with the account.

The HSI connectivity has been very reliable. We've been upgraded to, I think 1G total personal web space and I enjoy that.
