Upgraded (did it myself) to Docsis 3 about 6 months ago and we've been rock solid since, Internet ROCKS now... Now that being said, I went to BestBuy to get the Modem. Called the support Comcast support number and there seemed to be a little confusion about it being available in my area. Couple of phone transfer later I got this guy on the phone who was ALL over it, had me running in less than 15 minutes.
Very happy customer now, just wish I could get that price down...
