been onboard over 3 years.. bandwidth great, reliable. over the years, very few outages [ > 1 hr offline] modem replaced once due to failure [ I rent the Motorola Surfboard 5100] I'm exclusively Linux user so if I have any problem which leads to a service call, I just forget it. T/S is totally clueless about Linux ["We don't support Linux"]. I called one time early on about their POP3 service truncating my mail messages if any msg exceeded 80Kb. "We don't support Linux". I ended up running a sendmail server, getting a free DNS domain name coupled to my DHCP address. I barely use the POP3 anymore. The only thing they offer me is bandwidth. Originally, I wanted DSL, but I'm too far away from telco [>3mi] so I had to pick Comcast. They cost roughly double what Qwest DSL costs here. My $104/mo includes basic cable TV + BB. I think the BB is around 60 of that.
