I just moved from a BrightHouse Tampa area to this Comcast area, which used to be Adelphia. It seems that as of right now, Comcast is just running the Adelphia system (as seen very well in the huge lack of TV services). They are currently upgrading to match the rest of the Comcast system, and the day it goes live will be a very happy day for me! Install was a nightmare, due to the large number of outlets we needed, and the tech being given another tech's jobs. He arrived without any equipment we needed for service. However, he was a top notch tech, who provided a very professional install. He went though the extra work to make sure the installation was perfect. While I was under the assumption that this was a BrightHouse Orlando area (which has always been great), it turned out that only this and another neighboring subdivision are Comcast. Once it is up and running fully as a Comcast system, I feel that Comcast will be a great choice in this area.

It turns out that Comcast is one of the most incompetent companies I've ever dealt with. It seems that if you use their service for three months, it's perfectly normal to have a $1,400 bill of purely basic services. Hours on end with them yielded employee after employee who did not see a problem with the bill. While investigating, they managed to knock MY cable modem offline (which they are charging me to rent), all of our digital cable boxes (which they charge $20/month for HD service even though they aren't set up for HD because they are standard definition TVs), and then locked themselves out of the boxes and couldn't fix the mistake. I am writing this from my just installed Embarq DSL service, which isn't fully up and running, but it sure as hell isn't Comcast. Do not trust Comcast with three seconds of your time. They'll charge you $400 for it.
