Smooth sailing since the modem was replaced with a Surfboard 5120 in February 2007. In those 5 years a few instances of upstream around 55dB and disconnects, but this resolves itself within about 10 minutes. Best of all, I have not needed to deal with tech support all this time. Most of the time signals are at a steady +2dB downstream with 37dB SNR, upstream around 42dB with decent speed.
