Switched from Verizon DSL to Comcast for many reasons (see my review of Verizon DSL). So I went to the local Comcast office and ordered the Internet Service bundled with a Premium Cable Package. The Comcast rep handed me the installation package, activated my new services immediately, and told me what my new monthly price would be. Went home, hooked it up in 10 minutes and it worked the first time. Just for kicks I called their support to ask a few questions and boy did I get a real surprise! I actually ended up talking to a real technician (as compared to those Verizon DSL robots) who spoke perfect English and the nice thing about our conversation was that he didn't make me feel rushed so he could move on to the next call. Why he even emailed me with some additional information about 1 hour later. In summary, I am a former Bell of PA/Bell Atlantic/Verizon retiree and I'm very frugal; however, the additional money that I'm paying for a quality product and service is well worth it. I'll never go back to Verizon DSL (or FIOS). AND VERIZON... STOP CALLING ME EVERY NIGHT AT DINNERTIME TO SELL ME FIOS!!
