I am one of the many transfers from what used to be Adelphia. The transfer itself was a breeze with little downtime. In the last 9 months, service has gone down on me on average once per week for as little as 5 minutes to as long as 8 hours. It varies every time, and half of the time the TV portion of my service is out also. When I switched I was signed up for the 8M tier. However I found that recently I was not configured for it. After a few calls and many hours on the phone the issue was resolved. Speeds are pretty good any time of day for me. Pings and online gaming are also not an issue. Overall I am happy with the service, and with no other player in my area, my business will stay with Comcast.
Update - After a year the service has become much more reliable, with outages being far and few between. The speeds are rarely consistent at their marketed speeds, but overall they are good. DSL is available in my area, however the speeds can't match that of comcast.
