I had 3.0 meg/384kb DSL for 2 years and switched to Comcast HSI 8meg dwn./768kb up,about 10 days ago. I had heard some horror stories about "The Cable Co." and had sworn never to leave DSL, but almost instantly, was glad I did. Comcast and AT&T are the only 2 choices in my area. I ordered Comcast on a Wednesday and they gave me a time of 1:00pm the following Monday, I received a call at 12:50 pm on that day saying they were on their way.Everything went very smoothly through out Sales/Order/Install process. The techs left my direct bury cable line laying on ground and said it might take up to 2 weeks for another crew to come out and bury it, so I was very happy when they came 2 days later and buried the line. Both sets of technicians that came out were very nice, punctual and professional. The modem they left is a Scientific Atlanta DPC2100 series. I have found that I get really great speeds with Power Boost.Speed to Atlanta Speakeasy Speed test below: Last Result:Download Speed: 27938 kbps (3492.3 KB/sec transfer rate) Upload Speed: 2800 kbps (350 KB/sec transfer rate)
On a scale of 1-10, I would rate my experience so far with Comcast a 10
